Welcome to StudieBae. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StudieBae mobile application (the "App") and all related features and services provided through it.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, or using StudieBae, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and StudieBae ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise accessing or using the App, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 13 years of age.
If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you have obtained verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
All information you provide to us is accurate, current, and complete.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a minor in your care, you agree to be responsible for the minor's use of the App and compliance with these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

StudieBae is an AI-powered exam preparation and personalised study planning platform. The App provides the following features and services:

AI-generated study notes and structured content organised by subject, chapter, and topic.
Daily Practice Problems (DPP) including flashcards, multiple-choice quizzes, written assessments, revision notes, and weekly tests.
An AI-powered doubt resolution assistant for real-time academic Q&A.
Personalised AI syllabus generation based on your chosen exam, subjects, and study goals.
Daily study timetable planning and scheduling with push notification reminders.
Integration with YouTube for relevant educational video content.
Backlog tracking to surface missed or pending study topics.
Analytics and performance dashboards to track study progress and test scores.
PDF export and sharing of AI-generated study materials.
File and image upload for AI-assisted document evaluation and study support.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

3. Account Registration and Security

To access the full features of StudieBae, you must create an account by providing your name, date of birth, email address, country, exam name, and selected subjects. You agree to:

Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and onboarding.
Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and not share them with any third party.
Notify us immediately at our support email if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
Be solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we have reason to believe that the information you have provided is inaccurate, incomplete, or in violation of these Terms.

Account authentication is managed through a third-party authentication provider. By creating an account, you also agree to that provider's applicable terms and privacy practices.

4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

4.1 Free and Premium Access

StudieBae offers a free 7-day AI-generated timetable. To unlock the full suite of features - including unlimited AI notes, DPP, weekly tests, doubt resolution, and advanced analytics - you must subscribe to a premium plan.

4.2 Subscription Plans

Premium plans are available on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis. Current pricing is displayed within the App at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change; any change to the pricing of an active subscription will be communicated to you in advance.

4.3 Billing and Payment Processing

All subscription purchases made through the App are processed by the Google Play Store (Android) and, in future, the Apple App Store (iOS). Payment is charged to the payment method associated with your app store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

StudieBae uses RevenueCat as its subscription management layer. By subscribing, you also agree to RevenueCat's applicable terms of service.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store (or Apple App Store) account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to premium features until that date. We do not provide partial refunds for unused portions of a subscription period upon cancellation.

4.5 Refund Policy

Because all transactions are processed by the respective app store, refunds are primarily governed by the Google Play Store Refund Policy (and the Apple App Store Refund Policy for iOS). We encourage you to review those policies carefully before subscribing.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund from StudieBae directly (for example, due to a technical error on our part that prevented access to a paid feature), please contact us at our support email within 48 hours of your purchase date. We will review each refund request on a case-by-case basis. We are unable to process refunds for change of mind after 48 hours from the date of purchase.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed through the original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear depending on your payment provider.

5. User Content and Uploaded Materials

5.1 Your Content

"User Content" refers to any files, documents, images, or other materials you upload to StudieBae (for example, PDFs of study material or photographs of handwritten notes). You retain full ownership of all User Content you upload.

5.2 Licence You Grant Us

By uploading User Content to StudieBae, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to access, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing you with the App's features (such as AI-powered document evaluation). This licence does not extend to selling, distributing, or using your content for any other commercial purpose.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content, and we do not use your uploaded files or personally identifiable information to train AI models for the benefit of any third party.

5.3 AI-Generated Content

Notes, flashcards, quizzes, revision materials, syllabus structures, and all other content generated by the App's AI on your behalf ("AI-Generated Content") are provided for your personal study use. You may export and share this content externally (for example, as a PDF via your device's share sheet).

Ownership of AI-Generated Content remains a developing area of law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we assign to you any rights we may hold in AI-Generated Content produced specifically for you. However, we make no warranty that such content is original, unique, or free from third-party intellectual property claims.

5.4 Your Responsibilities for Uploaded Content

You represent and warrant that:

You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to upload the content you provide.
Your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
Your User Content does not contain any unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material.
We reserve the right to remove User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law, without prior notice.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use StudieBae only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the App in any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
Use the App to cheat in examinations, submit AI-generated content as your own original work in academic submissions, or engage in any form of academic fraud or dishonesty.
Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the App, our servers, or our technical delivery systems.
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App or its AI features.
Use any automated means, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access, collect, or extract data from the App.
Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the App.
Share, resell, or sublicence access to the App or any AI-Generated Content on a commercial basis without our express written consent.
Use the App to transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or any form of malware.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and all its original content (excluding User Content), features, design, branding, and functionality - including but not limited to software code, user interface design, graphics, and text - are and shall remain the exclusive property of StudieBae and its licensors.

These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in or to the App, our brand, or our proprietary technology, other than the limited licence to use the App in accordance with these Terms.

"StudieBae" and associated logos and marks are proprietary identifiers of StudieBae. You may not use any of our trademarks, trade names, or branding without our prior written consent.

8. AI Features - Disclaimer and Limitations

StudieBae uses third-party AI services to generate study content. While we strive to make this content accurate and helpful, you acknowledge and agree that:

AI-Generated Content is provided on an "as is" basis and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
AI-Generated Content should not be your sole source of preparation for any examination. You should consult authoritative textbooks, official syllabi, and qualified educators.
StudieBae does not guarantee any particular academic outcome, examination score, or result from using the App.
Responses from the AI doubt resolution assistant are generated automatically and may not always reflect the most current or authoritative academic guidance.
StudieBae is a study aid. Responsibility for your academic preparation and performance remains solely with you.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The App integrates with certain third-party services, including the YouTube Data API for educational video content. Your use of such third-party content or services is subject to the respective third party's terms of service and privacy policy. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services.

Subscription and payment management is handled via RevenueCat, and payments are processed by the Google Play Store (or Apple App Store for iOS). These services operate under their own terms and conditions. Any dispute regarding a payment transaction should be directed to the relevant app store.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any defects in the App will be corrected.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STUDYFLOW, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITY, OR ANY OTHER LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms exceed the amount you paid to StudieBae (if any) in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StudieBae and its officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

Your use of or access to the App.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your User Content or any content you submit, upload, or transmit through the App.
Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights.
Any misrepresentation made by you.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting the App and contacting us to request account deletion. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or if we determine that continued access would cause harm to other users or to StudieBae.

Upon termination, all licences and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall continue to apply.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.

In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, you agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us at our support email address. We will endeavour to resolve the matter within 30 days of receiving your notice.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India. [Note: Insert specific city/court jurisdiction here when determined, e.g., "the courts of New Delhi" or "the courts of Mumbai".]

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or other interim relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, by providing notice within the App.

Your continued use of StudieBae after any changes to these Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and may request account deletion.

15. Miscellaneous

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StudieBae with respect to the App and supersede all prior understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, whether written or oral.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.

15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision unless acknowledged and agreed to by us in writing.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or delegate any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms or any of our rights hereunder at any time without restriction.

15.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, power outages, internet disruptions, government actions, or pandemic conditions.
